It is important to us that we maintain your resort accommodation to a high standard of comfort and quality for all Owners. In order to achieve this, your resorts are treated to refurbishments from time to time, plus new resorts are developed to provide new accommodation options as the Club grows.
We are very focused on minimising the impact to Owners holidaying as the refurbishments take place and if you are at a resort as it is undergoing a refurbishment, thank you for your understanding as we enhance your resort assets. Here's an outline of activity that has kept the Project team busy throughout 2010 and 2011.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Surfers Paradise
Wyndham Surfers Paradise is the newest addition to WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham and the first Wyndham branded hotel in Australia as part of Wyndham Hotel Group's expansion into the South Pacific. Availability to the Club of apartments in this 'mixed use' hotel commenced in October 2010. Luxurious Sky Suites - all overlooking the ocean and located on upper levels of the hotel - were created with enhanced inclusions such as Bose® stereo systems, leather furniture and Nintendo Wii® game consoles. Operating under the Wyndham Hotel brand, traditional hotel services such as a wine bar, breakfast buffet, all day snacks, plus Reception and concierge are available.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Flynns Beach
As at April 2011, Wyndham Flynns Beach is in the final stages of extensive refurbishment to all interior rooms and common areas. This revamp has incorporated fresh paint, carpet, window treatments, artwork, soft furnishings, beds, sofa beds, armchairs and LCD televisions. Deluxe apartments have also seen kitchens upgraded with stone benchtops and glass splashbacks, as well as new bathroom fixtures and a Weber barbecue. In addition to enhanced furniture and extensive kitchen upgrades, Grand Suites (formerly Penthouse) now also feature leather lounges, new floor tiles, stainless steel appliances and four burner barbecues. Refurbishments to common areas and the painting of the resort's exterior were completed in June 2011. We are sure all Owners will notice a significant difference to all room types, enhancing their holiday experience and comfort.
WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Ballarat
Maintaining the historical charm of WorldMark Resort Ballarat, while integrating modern comforts was of the upmost importance to the design team during the WorldMark Resort Ballarat's recent makeover. Refurbishments have been made to the interior of all units, Reception, hallways, sitting rooms and games room with superb results. Timeless craftsmanship coupled with innovative design, plush fabrics and metallic finishes give this elegant resort a renewed air of grace and romance. The historical tulip motif on tiles, an original feature from 1878, has been preserved and celebrated. This motif, along with the resort's famed lead-lighting, are some of the earliest and most delightful examples of Art Nouveau decoration in Australia. In appreciation of the resort's heritage, the tulip motif was integrated as a design theme throughout the extensive refurbishments. Bed runners and scatter cushions added to standard apartments now feature a custom print of the beautiful Art Nouveau tulip motif. Standard apartments at WorldMark Resort Ballarat also boast an updated colour scheme along with new LCD televisions and modern lamps and shades. Deluxe apartments have been stylishly upgraded with a colour palette of blue and silver. New furnishings feature a cherry timber finish, plus there are stylish bed heads, diamond patterned dining chairs and large ornate mirrors. There are brand new LCD televisions throughout each apartment and kitchen upgrades include new stone bench tops, glass splashbacks and stainless steel appliances. Both standard and Deluxe apartments were repainted to brighten their look and feel, plus are decorated with artwork featuring Ballarat's historical buildings and gardens. The statement making revamp of the Reception area features a lime feature wall and striking red and gold carpet. New leather sofas in sitting rooms and the games room invite Owners to relax in comfort, while the games room has also been equipped with a 32-inch LCD television and table tennis table.
Other Current Refurbishments
WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Port Stephens, WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Port Macquarie (Northpoint) and WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Lakes Entrance have all been undergoing interior refurbishments. Refurbishments are expected to finish in mid-July 2011 with WorldMark Resort Lakes Entrance to be completed in late August 2011. Since joining the Club in 2004, WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Coffs Harbour - Terraces has also been undergoing an interior renovation. This is one of the first resorts needing new bathrooms and kitchens.
