Lonely Planet names South-West WA a ‘Top Ten Region’

It’s a tough list to make, but South-West Western Australia has been chosen by prestigious travel publication Lonely Planet as one of the world’s Top Ten Regions in 2010. Their annual ‘Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2010’ features the best destinations around the globe as well as the things to see and do while you're there.
So why did South-West Western Australia make the list?

We’ve known for a while that this stunning region is special. In fact, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Dunsborough is located in the very heart of this region, giving WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham Owners access to a place that people across the world wish to visit. They want to see the wild surf beaches, the secluded coves, the towering forests and the eerie, underground caves. They want to dine on the superb local produce – the breads, cheeses, chocolates and ice-cream, and of course, the wine.

In what is fast becoming an internationally recognised wine region, the Margaret River is one of the biggest wine regions in Australia with more than 220 grape growers and 100 cellar doors open to the public. Vineyards, beaches, forests and gourmet food … it's no wonder South-West Western Australia made the Top Ten!

Take the opportunity to experience this region for yourself. The Margaret River is a region featured in your online e-magazine Regions Revealed – offering you a mini-guide to the region, with all the attractions mentioned in close proximity to Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Dunsborough. We’ve listed nearby wineries, beaches, caves and some of the best dining spots in the area, all for your convenience and enjoyment.
